GE Fanuc ST-7408

The ST-7408 Shield Signal Smart Module is a power module featuring eight shielded channels, numbered 0 through 7, designed by GE Fanuc for industrial automation applications. This advanced smart module leverages module ID functionality and includes an active lifecycle status indicator. The ST-7408 can support a maximum current load of 10 amps per channel while maintaining a low internal power consumption of 18mA at 5 VDC. With dimensions of 88mm in height, 12mm in width, and 70mm in depth, this compact module utilizes a spring clamp terminal block connector and is compatible with input/output wiring of up to 2.0 mm² (AWG 14). Weighing only 70g, the ST-7408's LED status indicators provide key operational information: an OFF LED signifies the absence of an expansion module or power, while an uninitialized LED indicates that parameters have not been set. A steady green light confirms normal operation of the FnBus connection, and a flashing green light indicates that the FnBus is ready for communication. In contrast, a flashing red light denotes failed communication, with a solid red LED indicating a device fault.
