Is Hengst the same as the Bosch Rexroth filter I have?
Yes. Hengst took over the Bosch Rexroth hydraulic filtration business, and the housings, elements and type codes continue unchanged. Search the R928 number from your drawing or the old box; every Hengst listing shows the Bosch Rexroth number it replaces.
Which element fits my housing?
Match the size code (0040, 0160, 0250 and so on) and the housing series on the label, then choose the micron rating. A 245LEN0160 housing takes a size 0160 element; the PWR10 is the usual choice unless your drawing calls for PWR3, PWR6, PWR20 or a G mesh element.
What is the difference between PWR3, PWR6, PWR10 and PWR20 elements?
The number is the absolute filtration rating in microns. PWR3 and PWR6 protect servo valves and fine clearances; PWR10 is the general-purpose rating for most industrial hydraulics; PWR20 suits coarser systems and high flow. All four are glass-fibre media with the same dimensions, so you can change the rating without changing the housing.
Can a PWR element replace an older H or P element?
Yes. The PWR glass-fibre elements replace the earlier H glass-fibre and P paper elements of the same size: PWR3 for H3, PWR10 for H10 and P10, PWR20 for H20. G stainless-mesh elements are for suction and coarse pressure filtration and are not a swap for PWR.
Are Hengst elements in stock?
About half of the Hengst elements and housings we list are stocked and ship from our warehouse; the product page shows the current status. The rest are supplied to order from Hengst, and we confirm the lead time with your quote.
Do you stock the maintenance indicators and switching elements?
Yes. WO mechanical-optical indicators and WE electronic switching elements (1 or 2 switching points, M12x1 or EN 175301-803 connector) are listed by their type code; match the code on your housing's indicator port.
