The IC694ALG232 is an Advanced Diagnostics 16-Channel Input Analog Voltage Module designed by General Electric for the PACSystems RX3i system. This module allows for versatile input configurations, supporting 16 single-ended or 8 differential input channels, which may be set for a voltage range of 0 to 10 V (unipolar) or -10 to +10 V (bipolar). High and low alarm limits are configurable for each range, providing robust monitoring capabilities. The IC694ALG232 is entirely software-configurable, eliminating the need for manual jumpers, and it includes options for per-channel scaling and offsets. Alarm detection features encompass high, low, high-high, and low-low conditions, alongside module fault reporting and provisions for diagnostic point fault contacts within the logic program. This module supports hot insertion and removal, facilitating flexible operation in live environments. When utilized in an RX3i Universal Backplane, an external isolated +24 VDC power source is required, connected via the TB1 connector on the left side of the backplane; however, when installed in an Expansion Backplane, the necessary power is supplied internally. The IC694ALG232 includes a MODULE OK LED indicator for real-time status monitoring, with various blinking patterns conveying specific status conditions. Additionally, the Module P/S LED indicates the status of the internally-generated +5 VDC supply. The technical specifications include an update rate of 5 ms for all 16 channels or 3 ms for 8 channels, an input filter response of 23 Hz for long inputs and 38 Hz for short inputs, and a power consumption rating of 112 mA at +5VDC and 110 mA at +24VDC.
