The Siemens 6ES7231-5ND32-0XB0 is a SIMATIC S7-1200 SM 1231 high-resolution analog input module with 4 channels. Signal modules of the S7-1200 family mount to the right of the CPU and expand its onboard I/O over the integrated backplane bus connector; no separate rack or interconnect cabling is required.
Each channel is configurable for +/-10 V, +/-5 V, +/-2.5 V, +/-1.25 V voltage ranges or 0-20 mA / 4-20 mA current ranges, with 15 bit plus sign resolution for applications needing finer measurement accuracy than the standard 13-bit module.
