Description
The Maple Systems SM031032 is a 1000Base-LX bidirectional (BiDi) SFP transceiver module for gigabit Ethernet over a single strand of singlemode fiber. It transmits at 1310 nm and receives at 1490 nm, with a reach of up to 20 km through a single LC connector, halving the fiber count needed for long links. It plugs into the SFP port of the Maple Systems MS1-L05G01F managed Ethernet switch.
A simplex singlemode patch cable (such as the SC030001/SC030004/SC030005 OS2 cables) is required and sold separately. BiDi transceivers are used in matched pairs with opposite wavelength assignments.
