The MVI56E-MNET by ProSoft Technology is an enhanced Modbus TCP/IP client/server network interface module for 1756-format in-chassis platforms, allowing the host system to operate as a Modbus TCP client or server. It maintains backward compatibility with the earlier MVI56-MNET, so existing ladder logic and configurations migrate without modification.
Enhanced features include remote configuration and diagnostics over the network, the ProSoft Discovery Service for locating modules on Ethernet, robust shock and vibration resistance, and a long-life Lithium Vanadium Pentoxide backup battery.
