Description
The Mitsubishi Electric MDS-B-CVE-370 is a power supply unit (power regeneration converter) in the MDS-B (CVE, external emergency stop type) range, used in Mitsubishi MELDAS CNC drive systems on machine tools such as machining centers, lathes, and grinders.
It converts the incoming 3-phase AC supply into the regulated DC bus (approximately 270 to 311 VDC) that feeds the MDS servo and spindle drive units mounted alongside it, and returns regenerative energy to the supply during deceleration. This unit has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is stocked primarily as a maintenance replacement for installed CNC machines.
