Description
The Mitsubishi MDS-B-V2-3535 is a two-axis AC servo drive unit from the MELDAS MDS-B series, used with Mitsubishi CNC controls to drive two machine tool feed axes from a single module. Dual-axis V2 units save cabinet space versus two single-axis drives and operate from the shared DC bus provided by an MDS series power supply unit.
This unit is rated 3.5 / 3.5 kW per axis (L-axis/M-axis). It is a common replacement drive on machining centers and lathes built on the MELDAS MDS-B platform. This model is discontinued by the manufacturer and is supplied as replacement stock.
The drive uses a sine wave PWM control system with an IGBT-based intelligent power module in the main circuit, and provides both regenerative and dynamic braking.
