The Honeywell Spyder, 10 IO, is a versatile, programmable unitary controller licensed for individual operation. It incorporates four User Inputs, two Analogue Outputs, and four Digital Outputs, alongside compatibility with the Echelon LonWorks Network Protocol. With a real-time clock and Sylk Bus feature, the Spyder offers comprehensive control and synchronization.
The controller is tailored for intricate automation tasks with built-in zone control functionalities such as a Remote Wall Module interface and a scheduler. Select models, PVL0000AS, PVL4022AS, PVL4024NS, PVL6436AS, and PVL6438NS, feature a Microbridge air flow sensor with a unique dual integral restrictor design, which allows easy user access to airflow sensor inputs. Furthermore, the Actuator of certain models mounts directly onto the VAV box damper shaft and delivers up to 44 lb-in torque, 90-degree stroke, and 90-second timing at 60 Hz.
The Spyder, designed for straightforward installation, ensures all wiring connections are made to removable terminal blocks. Both the controller's housing and actuator are UL Plenum rated. The controller operates on a 24 VAC power supply within a valid range of 20 to 30 VAC, and withstands extreme temperatures from -40 F to 150 F. For communication, it employs a high-speed 78 Kilobit Free Topology Transceiver and can operate stand-alone or utilize LonWorks Bus Network communications.
Capable of supporting up to 100 controllers per Q7751A, B Router when set up as a repeater, it further offers the Sylk Bus feature for use with Sylk-Enabled sensors. With NIAGARA FRAMEWORK software, the controller offers field configurability for control, input, and output functions. In addition to user-defined network variables, a Function Block Engine enables the programming of a wide range of HVAC applications.
The controller is UL/cUL (E87741) Listed under UL916, meeting the FCC Part 15, Subpart B, Class B (Radiated Emissions) requirements. Notably, the Spyder incorporates significant event notification, periodic update capability, and Failure Detect when network inputs fail to be detected within their configurable time frame. It is conveniently mountable on a DIN Rail and ideal for Fan Coils, Heat Pumps, and Unit Heaters.
