The Benshaw EMX4e-0250B-V5-C1-H is a cost optimized protected chassis soft starter from the EMX4e series, rated 250 A for motors up to 75 HP at 230 V or 150 HP at 460 V. The EMX4e is Benshaw's compact reduced-voltage solid state starter with a built-in bypass, which closes internal bypass contactors once the motor reaches full speed to minimize heat dissipation and panel space.
Typical applications include pumps, fans, blowers, compressors, and conveyors where limiting inrush current and mechanical shock during starting is required. The protected chassis design allows direct panel mounting inside a control enclosure.

Benshaw EMX4e Low Voltage Soft Starters are the “cost optimized†version of the EMX4 Series. While still a “smart†soft starter like the EMX4i, this model has limited features and ratings (up to 580A). Available for standard duty applications only, the EMX4e is your “go-to†soft starter when cost outweighs the need for extra features.
The EMX4e is especially suited for dedicated purpose OEM applications like fans, pump and compressors, where the product can be properly sized and applied while minimizing overall system cost.
EMX4e chassis soft starters are available for immediate shipment and include Benshaw’s exclusive three-year warranty.
