Fuji Electric FRENIC-Mini (C2) Compact Variable Frequency Drives
The FRENIC-Mini (C2) is Fuji Electric's compact drive platform for installations where panel space is the binding constraint but motor control still has to be done properly. Ratings run from 1/8 HP to 20 HP, with 115 V single-phase input models (230 V three-phase output) for retrofits with no three-phase service available, plus 230 V and 460 V three-phase models for standard industrial supplies.
What the C2 gives you as standard
- Dual control modes — V/f control for simple fan and pump loads, sensorless vector control when you need better low-speed torque and speed holding
- Built-in PID controller for closed-loop pressure, flow or temperature regulation without an external loop controller
- Up to 8 preset speeds, auto-tuning, DC braking and S-curve ramping
- RS-485 Modbus RTU on board for PLC and SCADA integration
- Integrated EMC filter on selected models, plus overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, overload and motor thermal protection
Where it fits
Exhaust and ventilation fans, light-duty commercial pumps, small HVAC air handlers, packaging and labeling machines, and short conveyors. The C2 is the natural choice for replacing an aging across-the-line motor starter or a mechanical throttling arrangement — on a variable-torque fan or pump load, the energy savings usually pay for the drive well inside the first year.
All C2 models are UL/cUL listed and CE marked. Braking resistors, remote keypads and option cards for the series are listed under FRENIC-Mini (C2) and in our Accessories collection.
