MPW Motor-protective Circuit-breakers offer a compact means of protecting electric circuits and of operating and protecting motors up to 45kW (380V) or 55kW (440V), with a high breaking capacity that permits installation where short-circuit currents are high. Thermal and magnetic releases give complete circuit and motor protection: the thermal release is adjustable for overload protection and carries a differential mechanism with phase-loss sensitivity, while the magnetic release is set at 13xIn for short-circuit protection. Two models are available, ON-OFF by pushbuttons (MPW18) or by handle (MPW40/80/100), both with trip indication so the operator can see breaker status, and the handle can be padlocked in the "OFF" position for safe maintenance.
