Description
The Mitsubishi Electric MDS-B-SP-260 is a AC spindle drive unit in the MDS-B range, used in Mitsubishi MELDAS CNC drive systems on machine tools such as machining centers, lathes, and grinders.
It runs from the shared DC bus supplied by an MDS power supply unit and provides vector control of the machine spindle motor, covering acceleration, speed, orientation, and torque control for machining operations. The design supports dynamic braking and controlled deceleration to stop. This unit has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is stocked primarily as a maintenance replacement for installed CNC machines.
