The IC694ALG220 is a 4-channel Analog Voltage Input Module developed by GE Fanuc, designed for integration within the RX3i PLC system. This module supports a voltage input range of -10 to +10 volts and allows individual channels to accommodate 4 to 20 mA inputs via jumper connections between input terminals. Each channel features a conversion speed of one millisecond, resulting in a total update rate of four milliseconds. The IC694ALG220 can be installed in any I/O slot of the RX3i PLC platform. When positioned in an RX3i Universal Backplane, the module requires an external isolated +24 VDC power source, which should be connected through the TB1 connector located on the left side of the backplane. If mounted in an Expansion Backplane, it draws the necessary +24 VDC from the power supply. The Module OK LED indicator confirms operational status when functioning correctly. Field connections should utilize high-quality twisted, shielded instrumentation cables to minimize capacitive loading and electrical noise; shields can connect to either COM or GND, with the COM terminal giving access to the analog circuitry common. To limit common-mode voltages, the negative side of a floating voltage source may be connected to the COM terminal.
