Description
The GE Fanuc IC693MDL940 is a 16-point relay output module for the Series 90-30 PLC, used to control load devices such as indicators, solenoids, and motor starters. Relay coil power (24V DC) is supplied from the backplane. Contacts switch loads over 5 to 30V DC and up to 250V AC with a 2 A switching capacity per point.
Distinct suppression designs are used for DC and AC loads: DC circuits incorporate a 200V, 1 A suppression diode, while AC circuits use resistor-capacitor networks. With appropriate suppression, contact life on inductive loads approaches that of resistive loads.
