The Fuji Electric FRN1480G2W-4GU is a FRENIC-MEGA (G2) series high-performance variable frequency drive for 460 VAC three-phase applications, rated 1200 HP / 1386 A (Normal Duty), 900 HP / 1170 A (Heavy Duty). The FRENIC-MEGA platform serves demanding industrial drive applications such as machine tools, cranes and hoists, extruders, conveyors, and process equipment.
The G2 generation adds native control of permanent magnet (PM) motors, both interior PM and surface PM, for high-efficiency motor pairings, and integrates Safe Torque Off (STO) certified to SIL2 / PL d per IEC 62061 and ISO 13849, eliminating external safety contactors in many machine safety architectures. High-response current vector control provides high starting torque and precise speed regulation.
