The Fuji Electric DCR4-37B is a DC link reactor (DC choke) sized for 37 kW (50 HP) Fuji Electric variable frequency drives on 400V class supplies. It connects to the drive's DC bus terminals (P1 and P+) between the input rectifier and the DC bus capacitors. This model has been discontinued; availability is limited to remaining stock.
A DC link reactor reduces input current total harmonic distortion (THD), improves input power factor, and protects the drive's rectifier diodes and bus capacitors from line voltage spikes, transients, and notching. DC reactors are particularly effective at attenuating the 5th and 7th order harmonic currents that dominate 6-pulse VFD rectifier input, helping facilities work toward IEEE 519 harmonic limits without the cost of an active harmonic filter. Reduced peak charging current also extends DC bus capacitor service life. Genuine Fuji Electric OEM accessory.
