Please note: the FRENIC-HVAC (AR1) series has been discontinued by Fuji Electric. Remaining inventory is listed here to support installed building systems. For new HVAC projects, Fuji Electric recommends a current-generation FRENIC-Ace (E2) or FRENIC-MEGA (G2) drive with HVAC application programming.
FRENIC-HVAC was Fuji Electric's dedicated building-services drive, engineered around the equipment a mechanical contractor actually installs: air handling units, supply and return fans, chilled water pumps, cooling tower fans and condenser water pumps. It shipped with an HVAC-optimized control algorithm, BACnet MS/TP and Modbus RTU built in for direct building automation system integration, and an operator interface written in HVAC language rather than generic drive terminology. LonWorks was available on an optional card. Models were offered on 208/230 VAC, 460 VAC and 575 VAC supplies, many factory-mounted in NEMA/UL Type 12 enclosures for mechanical room installation without a separate panel.
For a BAS-integrated drive, a like-for-like spare avoids the real cost of replacement, which is rarely the drive itself — it is re-mapping BACnet points, re-commissioning the loop and re-validating sequences. Availability is limited to remaining stock and will not be replenished, so quantities shown on each product page are what exists.
When you are ready to plan a modernization, contact us for the current-generation equivalent and the BAS integration notes for your particular unit type.
