The National Instruments WSN-9792 is an advanced Real-Time (RT) Controller with an integrated gateway designed for robust Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) applications. This controller facilitates seamless communication between various wireless nodes and a host network, making it ideal for creating efficient WSN infrastructures. The WSN-9792 supports wireless connectivity via its built-in 2.4 GHz radio, which operates in the ISM frequency band and adheres to IEEE 802.15.4 standards, providing a reliable RF data rate of 250 kbits/s and an operational range of up to 300 meters.

Connectivity features include two Ethernet ports that support both 10 and 100 Mbps communications, as well as a standard RS-232 serial port capable of handling baud rates up to 400 bps with multiple flow control modes (DTR/DSR, RTS/CTS, or XON/XOFF). Additionally, the controller supports USB connectivity with a maximum data rate of 480 Mb/s, allowing users to connect a variety of devices, including mass storage units.
