The Smart E Tech SET-1250 is an advanced Current Sink Card featuring 32 isolated channels, specifically designed for testing and simulating equipment compliant with the 4-20 mA current loop standard. It extends its operational range from 0 to 24.6 mA, making it suitable for a wide array of applications, including automotive, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and aerospace systems. Each channel is equipped with a short circuit MOSFET and a disconnection relay, offering comprehensive current sink simulation capabilities while enabling the emulation of both open and short circuit faults. Users can configure individual parameters for fault insertion and simulation values per channel, utilizing the SET-1250's RTI and SLSC APIs for customized output settings.

Designed with safety in mind, the SET-1250 includes current limiting features to protect against overcurrent situations. The front panel is equipped with J1 and J2 connectors, while the rear panel contains an XJ2 connector. User-friendly visual indicators, including two LEDs, provide immediate feedback on power (PWR) and operational readiness (RDY). A solid green power LED indicates successful operation, while a flickering red LED signals potential issues with the board's fuse or plug-in module. The RDY LED transitions from amber to green, confirming established communication with the chassis.

Engineered to perform in various environments, the SET-1250 operates effectively at altitudes of up to 2,000 meters and is capable of withstanding temperatures between 0 and 40 °C when utilizing forced-air cooling from the chassis. It is also designed to function within a non-condensing relative humidity range of 10% to 90%. For storage, this module accommodates a broader temperature range of -40 to 85 °C, along with a non-condensing humidity level of 5% to 95%. The physical dimensions of the SET-1250 are 144.32 mm x 30.48 mm x 302 mm (without ejector), and it is backed by a manufacturer warranty of 2-3 years.
