The National Instruments SCXI-1181 Breadboard Custom Circuitry Module (Part Number: 776572-81) is designed to provide a versatile platform for developing and implementing custom circuitry within SCXI systems. This module features a dedicated breadboarding area for constructing simple computerized timing circuits and includes a comprehensive power supply circuit. Serving as a 50-stick feedthrough board, the SCXI-1181 facilitates the expansion of signal lines for unconditioned signals, effectively routing them from the back to the front of an SCXI model.
The SCXI-1181 includes a module front panel, protective enclosure, various screws, and a detailed installation guide, as well as multiple connectors: a 96-stick DIN C-type front connector, a 50-stick right-angle male strip connector at the back, and an SCXIbus connector. This enables programming through various application development environments (ADEs) including NIDAQ, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and Borland C++.
With a maximum regulated output voltage of +15 V and a current output capacity of 170 mA, the module is robust and reliable, featuring typical line and load regulations of 0.02%/V and 0.3%, respectively. The design incorporates safety measures such as 250 mA quick-acting fuses for the V+ and V- supplies, which can be replaced if needed. Although the SCXI-1181 has been designated as obsolete by National Instruments, it remains available for purchase and repair through Apex Waves.
