National Instruments SCXI-1140

The National Instruments SCXI-1140 (Part Number: 776572-40) is a high-performance Differential Amplifier Module designed for simultaneous sampling applications. This module features eight channels and incorporates connections for external timing signals, ensuring easy integration with the NI-DAQmx measurement services software. It is compatible with both NB Series data acquisition boards and LabVIEW for Macintosh, providing versatile options for data acquisition on different platforms. The SCXI-1140 offers an output slew rate of 15 V/μsec and input/output noise spectral densities of 12 nV/√Hz and 75 nV/√Hz, respectively, with a maximum output voltage range of ±10 V.

For communication between the SCXIbus and the data acquisition board, the SCXI-1140 is equipped with three dedicated jumpers: W11, W13, and W14. Furthermore, this module includes DIP switch-programmable instrumentation amplifiers, buffered track-and-hold amplifiers, multiplexers, and output switches, enhancing its flexibility in various applications. Input protection is ensured by a 1 kΩ series resistor on each terminal, safeguarding against potential damage. The SCXI-1140 supports four scanning modes, including single module parallel and multiplexed scanning, and features an ID register for read-only access alongside a configuration register for write-only operations, which handles control functions internally.
