The National Instruments SC-2042-RTD is a versatile RTD/Thermistor accessory designed for precise temperature measurement in industrial applications. This module features eight channels capable of accommodating four-wire RTD measurements, allowing for accurate readings across a range of standard RTDs, including 10 Ω, 100 Ω, and 2 kΩ instruments. The SC-2042-RTD is equipped with a dedicated 1 mA current excitation source for each channel and provides screw terminal connections for straightforward signal input and output. Each excitation source can drive loads up to 8.5 kΩ, ensuring comprehensive temperature measurement capabilities.

The SC-2042-RTD is fully compatible with National Instruments' NI-DAQ driver software and can interface seamlessly with various environments, including Windows and Macintosh operating systems. It supports routing of RTD signal inputs to the eight differential inputs of MIO boards, as well as to the four differential inputs of the DAQCard-1200, DAQPad-1200, and Lab-PC+. Additional screw terminals provide convenient signal termination for each input/output line on the DAQ board interfacing connector.
