The controller requires one system slot and three expansion slots, making it a compact yet powerful solution for various applications. Integrated with the Mobile Intel 915GM Express chipset, the PXI-8195 ensures optimal stability and flexibility, supporting a full-rate Gigabit Ethernet connection and an ExpressCard interface for additional I/O options.

The device offers a comprehensive range of onboard peripherals, including 10/100/1000 BaseTX Ethernet, GPIB (IEEE 488.2) interface, serial and parallel ports, USB 2.0 ports, a Watchdog/Trigger SMB, and a PS/2 keyboard/mouse connector. Users can further expand functionality through the ExpressCard/34 slot, allowing for the addition of various peripheral I/O options, such as Bluetooth, IEEE 1394, or Wi-Fi capabilities.
