National Instruments PXI-7833R

The National Instruments PXI-7833R is a high-performance PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module designed for versatile data acquisition and control applications. Equipped with eight 16-bit analog input channels and eight 16-bit analog output channels, this module also offers 96 configurable bidirectional digital I/O lines. The PXI-7833R utilizes a Virtex-II FPGA, providing powerful processing capabilities, and is complemented by the NI-RIO driver software for seamless integration. In differential input mode, each analog input channel operates using two lines, connecting to locally available instrumentation. The system can be configured for high-impedance digital I/O lines when not actively driven. The module features a SCB-68 shielded connector block for robust connectivity. It enables trigger communication through the PXI trigger bus and supports synchronization with other PXI-enabled devices. The dimensions of the PXI-7833R are 6.3 x 3.9 inches and it weighs 1 lb. The device is programmable using the LabVIEW FPGA Module and can be integrated with the LabVIEW Real-Time Module for comprehensive application development. Although National Instruments has declared the PXI-7833R obsolete, it remains available for purchase and repair through Apex Waves.
