National Instruments PXI-7324

The National Instruments PXI-7324 is a high-performance 4-axis closed-loop motion controller designed for demanding industrial applications. It supports a maximum step frequency of 750,000 steps per second and is capable of handling an encoder frequency of up to 1 MHz, facilitating precise motion control for multiple axes. With support for event-based motion profiling, point-to-point positioning, and velocity profiling modes, the PXI-7324 provides versatile control options tailored to users' needs. The controller accepts analog inputs ranging from 0 to Vcc (Vcc = +5 V ± 3%) with an 8-bit resolution, offering a total absolute position range of ±231 steps and a maximum relative move size of ±221 steps. For analog input operations, the PXI-7324 is equipped with a multi-channel ADC and provides four analog input channels via its external 68-pin motion connector. Additionally, the digital I/O port can be configured for general-purpose I/O functionality, with the flexibility of using active-low or active-high signals for home and limit switch inputs. The controller operates within an input voltage range of 0 to 12 V for motion digital I/Os, including trigger inputs and limit switches. The PXI-7324 requires two PXI slots and operates on a power supply of 6 Watts. Although National Instruments has announced the obsolescence of the PXI-7324, it will remain available for purchase and repair through Apex Waves.
