The National Instruments PXI-6527 (Part Number: 777802-01) is a high-performance 48-bit isolated Digital I/O Module designed for various automation and control applications. This module is equipped with 24 solid state relay digital outputs capable of switching currents up to 120 mA, along with 24 optically isolated digital inputs that can sense digital levels up to 28 VDC. The PXI-6527 offers enhanced noise immunity and protection against ground loops through its channel-to-channel isolated I/O design. It operates seamlessly across major Windows platforms including Windows 2000, NT, and XP, and is compatible with various software environments, including LabVIEW, Lab Windows/CVI, and Measurement Studio.

The module's input channels feature differential isolated terminals to provide clarity in reading external logic conditions, supporting both TTL and non-TTL levels, with an input current draw of 1.5 mA at 5 V and up to 8 mA at 24 V. A potential difference between 2 VDC and 28 VDC yields a logic high, while 0 V to 1 V is interpreted as logic low. The PXI-6527 maintains a robust 60 VDC isolation between the PC and input channels, ensuring secure operation even in demanding environments. Additionally, it can trigger actions upon changes in input line states and is capable of reading the status of other input lines or controlling outputs accordingly.
