The NI PXI-6284 is a versatile PXI Multifunction I/O Module designed for high-performance data acquisition and control applications. With 32 analog input channels offering 18-bit resolution, this M Series module supports precise measurement and analysis. The PXI-6284 features advanced counter capabilities with 8X and 2X prescaling options, allowing it to effectively count high-frequency signals beyond the maximum time base of the counter. This pre-scaling functionality acts as a frequency divider to produce a scaled output while maintaining accuracy. The module includes a duplicate count prevention feature that ensures reliable data retrieval in buffered counter applications, making it ideal for frequency and period measurements with non-periodic external sources.
