National Instruments PXI-5411

The National Instruments PXI-5411 High-Speed PXI Arbitrary Waveform Generator is a sophisticated instrument designed to facilitate rapid deployment of waveform generation capabilities. It features integrated VirtualBench soft front panels that serve as a user-friendly interface similar to standalone instruments, enabling streamlined access to data acquisition, control, analysis, and presentation functions. The included NI-FGEN instrument driver supports a variety of development environments, allowing for comprehensive application development tailored to the PXI-5411.

With advanced functionality, the PXI-5411 allows users to store arbitrary waveforms as 16-bit digital words, utilizing the 12 most significant bits for output to the digital channel and the digital-to-analog converter (DAC). Trigger sources are software-selectable, with the unit generating the triggering signals by default. Users have the option to employ external triggers via the digital I/O connector, RTSI trigger lines, or TTL trigger lines on the PXI backplane.

The PXI-5411 supports a single analog output channel with a resolution of 12 bits and a maximum update rate of 40 MHz.
