The National Instruments PXI-4498 is a high-performance PXI Sound and Vibration Module designed for precise signal acquisition and analysis in noise and vibration applications. This module supports automated signal activation and offers two operational modes for flexible signal acquisition: it can acquire data triggered by analog input channels, external digital trigger inputs, or the PXI trigger bus. The external digital trigger is compatible with 5 V TTL/CMOS levels and can be activated by either the rising or falling edge. In the starting trigger mode, the PXI-4498 captures signals exclusively after the trigger condition, while the reference trigger mode enables acquisition both before and after the trigger event, making it ideal for transient signal monitoring. For example, when analyzing vibrations induced by mechanical impacts, such as hammer strikes, the accelerometer signals are captured upon striking.
The module is equipped with two 4X InfiniBand connectors, each supporting eight analog input channels (AI0-7 and AI8-15). Utilizing the 4X InfiniBand technology ensures excellent signal integrity and minimizes crosstalk, making it well-suited for high-performance computing applications. The PXI-4498 is particularly compatible with the NI Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite, which includes tools for spectrum analysis, frequency response, octave band analysis, and more, all facilitated through the NI Sound and Vibration Assistant and LabVIEW compatible VIs.
For inquiries regarding pricing, please contact a sales representative. The PXI-4498 is subject to a "Last Time Buy" date of March 28, 2024, but will continue to be available for purchase and repair through Apex Waves.
