National Instruments PXI-4110

The National Instruments PXI-4110 is a single-quadrant programmable DC power supply engineered for diverse manufacturing test and design validation applications. It features three channels—two isolated and one non-isolated—capable of delivering up to 1 A each. This flexibility allows for precise control over voltage setpoints and current limits, making the PXI-4110 suitable for various testing scenarios. The PXI-4110 excels in load and line regulation, achieving a line regulation of 0.01% plus 1 mV for each volt of input change across channels 1 and 2, and 0.01% plus 0.02% of range for current regulation. Voltage load regulation varies from 0.1% to 0.42% per amp output, and current load regulation ranges from 0.003% to 0.02% per volt output variation. Notable for its rapid transient response, the device can recover to within 0.1% of the voltage range in just 50 μs after a load current shift from 50% to 100%.

Robust protection features include overvoltage, overcurrent, reverse voltage, and overtemperature safeguards for all output channels, as well as similar protections for the auxiliary power input. Routine calibration is recommended yearly. The PXI-4110 operates efficiently with a power requirement of 1 W at 3.3 V, 6 W at 12 V, 3 W at -12 V, and 10 W at 5 V. It requires an auxiliary power input of 11 to 15.5 VDC with a maximum of 5 A.
