National Instruments PXI-2722

The National Instruments PXI-2722 Programmable Resistor Module is a versatile 5-channel, 16-bit PXI solution designed to accurately simulate resistance-based inputs and outputs. Application scenarios include simulating voltage dividers, resistance temperature detectors (RTDs), bridge elements, and potentiometers, making it particularly effective for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) validation testing. The PXI-2722 supports maximum voltages of 60 VDC and 30 VACrms (both channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground) and can handle a maximum current of 0.3 A and power of 0.25 W per channel. Resistance range extends from 0.25 Ω to 16,320 Ω with a resolution of 0.25 Ω, delivering typical channel accuracy of less than 10.0% for settings between 20 Ω and 40 Ω, and less than 5.0% for settings between 40 Ω and 120 Ω. The module enables concurrent control of up to 89 relays, boasting a relay life of 1 × 10^8 cycles under low power conditions and 1 × 10^6 cycles at full power. It features a 37-pin D-SUB front panel connector and dual 2×2 Micro-Fit DMM port connectors. Operating in a 3U PXI form factor, the PXI-2722 requires a maximum of 11 W at 5 V and is suitable for environments with temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 55 °C, while storage temperatures can range from -20 °C to 70 °C.
