National Instruments PXI-1422

The National Instruments PXI-1422 IMAQ Device is a versatile frame grabber designed for advanced imaging applications. Featuring a 64 KB-by-16 bits lookup table (LUT), it facilitates two separate 256 B-by-8 bit LUT tasks or a single 64 KB-by-16-bit LUT for a variety of imaging functions such as contrast enhancement, data inversion, and gamma correction. The PXI-1422 is available in two models, specifically designed for compatibility with RS-422 and LVDS digital cameras.

With its integrated multiple-tap data formatter, the PXI-1422 supports high frame rates by allowing the simultaneous transmission of data from multiple camera channels, or taps. This device adeptly rearranges data input from up to two 8-bit taps, managing to reorder information in multiple directions including left-to-right or right-to-left, as well as top-to-bottom or bottom-to-top. Additionally, its trigger control and mapping circuitry provides advanced routing capabilities for external and RTSI bus trigger lines, enabling seamless integration of external events with high-speed timing circuitry.

Constructed with rapid counters, the PXI-1422 ensures precise generation and indication of real-time control signals, which can be effectively mapped to trigger lines for creating accurate pulse outputs. The device connects via a 100-pin SCSI-type connector and supports resolutions of 8, 10, 12, 14, or 16 bits in either grayscale or color formats.
