National Instruments PCI-6233

The National Instruments PCI-6233 is a versatile multifunction data acquisition (DAQ) device designed for high-performance applications. This PCI card features 16 analog input channels with 16-bit resolution, providing a sampling rate of up to 250 kS/s. Additionally, the device includes two 0 to 20 mA analog outputs capable of updating at 500 kS/s, along with four digital output channels that can operate in either 5 V TTL/CMOS or 24 V sourcing/sinking modes. The PCI-6233 supports a programmable input range for each channel, allowing for configurable voltage levels of ±10 V, ±5 V, ±1 V, and ±0.2 V, along with selectable debounce filters for digital inputs to ensure reliable performance.

This DAQ device is fully compatible with various programming environments, including ANSI C, Measurement Studio, and LabVIEW. It can be easily installed in any PCI-enabled computer running Microsoft Windows 7 or a Real-Time Operating System. The integrated digital isolation technology enhances signal integrity and prevents ground loops, while the 60 VDC bank isolation provides safety against high-voltage transients for both operators and equipment. Additionally, the PCI-6233 offers programmable power-up states, enabling users to define the output state for each digital channel at startup, which is especially beneficial when interfacing with devices such as motors and valves. Configuration settings are securely stored in onboard nonvolatile memory, ensuring immediate application upon power restoration.
