The National Instruments PCI-5922 is a versatile oscilloscope device designed for high-performance applications including audio testing, wireless communications, satellite systems, ultrasonic medical imaging, signal intelligence, Baseband I & Q processing, and mass spectrometry. It features a maximum alias-free bandwidth of 6 MHz, depending on the selected sample rate, and supports two voltage input channels that can also be configured as a single differential channel. With a resolution of up to 24 bits at lower sample rates and a maximum sample rate of 15 MS/s at 16-bit resolution, the PCI-5922 is capable of detailed signal analysis.
The device offers two application programming interfaces (APIs), NI-SCOPE SFP and NI-SCOPE Instrument Driver, facilitating various functions such as waveform acquisition, signal conditioning, and measurement within software environments like LabVIEW and Microsoft Visual C/C++. The NI-SCOPE SFP operates on a PC, enabling simultaneous sessions for waveform visualization and regulation. The hardware configuration is managed through the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool.
Additional features of the PCI-5922 include adjustable voltage range and coupling settings, multiple triggering modes, and substantial onboard memory. It is equipped with a 9-pin mini-circular DIN and two BNC female and SMB front panel connectors. The device supports both self-calibration and external calibration, with the latter recommended every two years for optimal performance.
The PCI-5922 is available in three models differentiated by onboard memory size: the 779659-01 model provides 8 MB/channel, the 779659-02 offers 32 MB/channel, and the 779659-03 includes 256 MB/channel. The latter two models are compatible with the Spectral Measurements Toolkit to enable advanced frequency-domain assessments suitable for aerospace and communication applications. With a weight of 14.6 oz and dimensions of 14 x 0.8 x 4.4 inches, the PCI-5922 is designed for efficient integration into various test environments. Each unit comes with a three-year warranty.
