The National Instruments PCI-1426 (Part Number: 779210-02) is a cost-effective Camera Link image acquisition device designed for high-resolution machine vision and complex scientific imaging applications. This versatile model fully complies with the Camera Link standard, making it compatible with a wide array of Camera Link imaging devices. The PCI-1426 captures digital images in real-time, enabling users to save images to onboard memory or transfer them directly to system memory. It features a high-speed, flexible data path optimized for receiving and formatting video data from cameras.
Equipped with a 15-pin D-SUB connector, the PCI-1426 provides four external TTL I/O lines that can function as high-speed digital I/O or trigger inputs. Additionally, this connector allows access to two optically isolated inputs and two RS-422 inputs, with software selection capabilities. The device can be programmed using various application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or Measurement Studio. The 26-pin MDR connector facilitates high-frequency data transfer between the device and cameras via a 3M Camera Link cable and also supports differential line driver inputs (RS-422). The PCI-1426 supports multiple acquisition modes including Software Control Mode, Delayed Acquisition Mode, and Trigger Control Mode.
With physical dimensions of 4.2 x 6.9 inches and a weight of 4.48 ounces, the PCI-1426 is suitable for operation in environments with temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 55 °C and storage conditions of –20 °C to 70 °C. It is designed to meet several electrical safety standards, including IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 61010-1. Although National Instruments has announced the end-of-life status for the PCI-1426, it will remain available for purchase and repair through Apex Waves.
