Description

The National Instruments NI-9250 is a C Series Sound and Vibration Input Module designed to facilitate precise measurement and analysis of sound and vibration signals. This dual-channel module supports a voltage range of ±5 V and is compatible with both integrated electronic piezoelectric (IEPE) sensors and non-IEPE devices such as microphones and accelerometers. The NI-9250 also accommodates smart TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) sensors, enhancing its versatility in various applications. Featuring a maximum sample rate of 102.4 kS/s per channel, the module ensures simultaneous signal measurement across its two channels, equipped with integrated anti-aliasing filters that dynamically adjust based on the selected sample rate.

The module's design incorporates advanced IEPE signal conditioning and software-selectable AC/DC coupling. Its BNC connectivity not only includes an IEPE excitation source but also a TEDS input path, eliminating the need for external sensor power. By enabling or disabling the IEPE signal excitation source, users can optimize their test setups efficiently. When paired with the NI-9260 via BNC connectors, the NI-9250 serves as an effective frequency response analyzer. This module utilizes a 24-bit Delta-Sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with analog pre-filtering for enhanced signal processing. Additionally, the NI-9250 offers ±30 V maximum overvoltage protection on one channel at any given time, emphasizing its robust design.
