National Instruments NI-6583

The NI-6583 Digital I/O Adapter Module is a high-performance component designed for use with National Instruments' FlexRIO platform. It supports continuous testing of digital waveforms at frequencies up to 200 MHz and features 16 LVDS channels alongside 32 single-ended channels. The module offers selectable single-ended voltage levels ranging from 1.2 to 3.3 volts with a resolution of 10 bits, accommodating standard LVDS voltage levels. Included with the module is the NI SHC68-H1X38 cable, which facilitates connectivity by breaking out each single-ended signal into two 0.1-inch headers—one for the signal and another for ground—streamlining interactions with various devices and circuits for effective interfacing, testing, and analysis.

The NI-6583 provides independent single-ended and differential channels that enable concurrent I/O operations. Single-ended connections utilize the VHDCI connector, while differential connections are made through the InfiniBand connector. Additionally, users can connect to the single-ended and differential channels via flying leads cables, which must be purchased separately. Designed to operate efficiently, the module boasts a maximum data rate of 300 Mbits/s when in double data rate mode and features a 10 ns state change time. It is capable of adjusting output impedance to 50 ohms and supports an input voltage range of –1.4 V to +3.8 V. The device operates within a temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C and can be stored in environments ranging from –20 °C to 70 °C.
