The National Instruments CDA-2990 Clock Distribution Device is designed to enhance the synchronization capabilities of multi-channel systems by distributing a shared timing source across eight channels. Compatible with part numbers 784305-01, 784306-01, and 140001B-03L, the device features both AC input and output coupling. It is particularly effective for synchronizing up to eight Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) devices, ensuring precise coordination in both time and frequency. The front panel includes inputs for pulse-per-second (PPS) and 10 MHz signals, which are distributed via eight SMA outputs for each frequency. With a reference clock input power range of 0 dBm to 20 dBm, the CDA-2990 amplifies each output signal to maintain integrity after division. Operating primarily at a 10 MHz frequency, it delivers output power of up to 10 dBm under standard conditions, while the PPS output operates at a maximum of 5 V, producing a logic-level pulse waveform. The device is powered by a 6 VDC to 15 VDC supply, with a maximum input power of 6 W. It accepts inputs from Rubidium standards or other compatible external sources, ensuring the generation of matched-length output streams.
