The National Instruments 781053-01 PXI Multifunction I/O Module, also identified as the PXIe-6356, is a versatile data acquisition solution designed for simultaneous sampling applications. This module features eight differential analog input channels with a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) resolution, allowing for a maximum sampling rate of 1.25 MS/s per channel while ensuring data integrity without missing codes. Equipped with four 32-bit counters, this device supports extensive digital and analog I/O capabilities along with advanced triggering functionalities facilitated by NI-STC3 timing and synchronization technology.

The module includes two analog output channels, each offering 16-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) resolution, guaranteeing 16-bit monotonicity and minimal differential non-linearity of ±1 LSB for precise signal generation. Its robust digital I/O capabilities encompass a total of 24 channels, divided into 16 Programmable Function Interface (PFI) channels and 8 channels on port 0, supporting diverse application needs through flexible input/output programming. Additionally, the digital I/O includes built-in input voltage protection of ±20 V on selected pins and features a 50 kΩ pull-down resistor.
