The Compact Series Air-Cooled Top-Mounted Air Conditioners deliver reliable temperature and humidity control for sensitive electronic equipment housed in industrial enclosures. These units feature a built-in condensate evaporator that eliminates the need for manual condensate drainage under normal operating conditions, significantly reducing maintenance requirements. An overflow condensate drain fitting and hose are provided to handle excess moisture in extreme high-humidity environments or installations with open or leaky enclosures.

The system employs CFC-free R134a refrigerant and incorporates a closed-loop cooling design that completely isolates the enclosure's internal airflow from ambient air or water sources. This isolation prevents ambient air from entering the cool, dehumidified component compartment, ensuring optimal protection for sensitive electronics. A compressor short cycle protector safeguards the compressor by preventing rapid restart cycles that can cause premature wear and failure. This protection is especially valuable in installations subject to solar gain, fluctuating internal heat loads, power interruptions, or oversized units specified to accommodate future equipment additions. The programmable thermostat provides precise temperature control with versatile performance settings, while the programmable temperature alarm alerts operators when early corrective action is needed.

Construction includes multi-layer corrugated aluminum filters held securely in one-piece aluminum frames to maintain internal cleanliness and equipment reliability. For facilities operating below 50F, the optional low ambient kit maintains sufficient compressor operating pressures down to 0F by incorporating a compressor heater and pressure-sensing blower modulation.
