The Guardian DP50 is a heavy-duty, panel-mounted air conditioning system engineered to maintain precise temperature control within electrical enclosures while protecting sensitive components from environmental contaminants and equipment degradation. Available in 208/230/220 and 480 Volt models, these units deliver dependable cooling across industrial, commercial, and specialized applications requiring robust climate management.

Constructed with a heavy-duty steel shell featuring a baked powder finish in ANSI 61 gray (custom colors available), the Guardian DP50 maintains full NEMA 12, 3R, and 4 ratings per UL50, with all units fully gasketed to ensure tight, leakproof installations. The closed-loop cooling design isolates the enclosure interior airflow system from ambient conditions, preventing outside air from infiltrating the cool, dehumidified component compartment. Epoxy-coated condenser and evaporator coils provide extended corrosion resistance, withstanding 1000 hours of salt spray per ASTM B 117 testing. Reusable multi-layer aluminum filters with non-drying adhesive coating trap particulate matter and maintain internal cleanliness. The unit is powered by a six-foot, 3-wire power cord and includes an external junction box for permanent wiring connections on 480 Volt models.

Advanced controls ensure optimal performance and protection across variable operating conditions. A programmable thermostat enables accurate temperature regulation with versatile performance features, while a programmable temperature alarm alerts operators when early intervention is required. The compressor short cycle protector safeguards against damage from frequent starts caused by low heat loads, power interruptions, or solar gain, significantly extending compressor life in installations subject to fluctuating internal loads. The 208/230/220V models feature a condenser blower controller for enhanced efficiency. All units use zero ODP R410a refrigerant and are UL/CUL Listed and CE Compliant.
