Honeywell Spyder, 21 IO - PVB6438NS-ILC/U

The Honeywell Spyder 21 IO is a highly adaptable variable air volume (VAV) BACnet MS/TP controller that's powered by 24 VAC and is capable of supporting up to 40 controllers per segment. It's recommended that this segment not exceeds 30 controllers for optimal performance. It features a real-time clock and communicates using the Sylk Bus technology, working well with Sylk-enabled sensors. The Spyder controller houses an EIA-485 communications network that can accommodate Baud rates ranging from 96 to 1152 kbits/s, thereby ensuring smooth and efficient flow of information.

With its built-in zoning control features, the controller can easily interface with a remote wall module and a scheduler. The controller houses a function block engine that facilitates the customization of a wide array of HVAC applications, providing flexibility and versatility in application design. Easy user access to airflow sensor inputs is provided via the Microbridge Air Flow Sensor with a dual integral restrictor design.

The actuator for models PVB0000AS, PVB4022AS, and PVB6436AS has the capacity of 44 lb-in (5 Nm) torque, a 90-degree stroke, and a 90-second timing at 60 Hz, making it a robust device capable of heavy-duty operations. Both the controller housing and actuator carry a UL Plenum rating, ensuring safety and quality.

All wiring connections are made to removable terminal blocks, simplifying the installation and replacement process of the controller. Another noteworthy feature is its capacity to operate within a temperature range of 32F to 122F. The Honeywell Spyder 21 IO controller is UL/cUL listed under UL916 for open energy management equipment. It also meets the FCC Part 15, Subpart B, Class B standards on radiated emissions.

The versatile 21 IO has RS-485 ports and can be handily mounted on a DIN rail.
