Honeywell Spyder, 19 IO - PVB6436AS/U

The Honeywell Spyder, with 19 IO, is a programmable VAV controller capable of variable input and output configurations. The controller includes 6 UI, 4 DI, 3 AO and 6 DO features, powered by the BACnet MS/TP and RS-485 ports. The device is highly versatile, boasting the ability to support up to 40 controllers per BACnet MS/TP segment, enabling a broad scope of application. However, a recommendation of 30 controllers is given for optimal performance.

An integrated actuator with Real Time Clock and Sylk Bus makes the Spyder a highly advanced control system. Offering a built-in zone control, this controller comes with a remote wall module interface and a scheduler. For higher functionality, the controller includes a Function Block Engine, allowing the application designer to program the controller for a variety of HVAC applications.

Both the controller and actuator housing are UL Plenum rated, ensuring they meet stringent safety and operational standards. The controller uses an EIA-485 Communications Network capable of missing text between 96 and 1152 kbits/s, enhancing data transfer and overall operational efficiency.

The device features an advanced Microbridge Air Flow Sensor with a Dual Integral Restrictor Design, and variants include PVB0000AS, PVB4022AS, PVB4024NS, PVB6436AS, and PVB6438NS models. This sensor allows for easy user access, while the actuator mounts directly onto the VAV box damper shaft and can perform with up to 44 lb-in torque, a 90-degree stroke, and 90-second timing at 60 Hz.

The Honeywell Spyder operates at 24 VAC but can handle power voltages within the range of 20 to 30 VAC. The device is designed to work within an operating temperature of 32° F to 122° F. For simplified installation and replacement, all wiring connections are made to removable terminal blocks. The device meets FCC Part 15, Subpart B, Class B (Radiated Emissions) requirements and is UL/cUL (E87741) listed under UL916, the standard for Open Energy Management Equipment.
