The Honeywell Spyder 10 IO is a individually licensed, Variable Air Volume (VAV) controller that is programmable and comes with 4 User Inputs, 2 Analog Outputs and 4 Digital Outputs. Operating on the Echelon LonWorks Network Protocol, it supports a real-time clock and integrates a Sylk Bus for efficient sensor communication.
Inbuilt zone control functions include a remote wall module interface and a scheduler, enhancing usability and control options. Certain models (PVL0000AS, PVL4022AS, PVL4024NS, PVL6436AS, and PVL6438NS) integrate a microbridge airflow sensor featuring a dual integral restrictor design, allowing simple user access to airflow sensor inputs.
The actuator featured in PVL0000AS, PVL4022AS, and PVL6436AS models mounts directly onto the VAV box damper shaft delivering a torque of up to 44 lb-in (5 Nm), a 90-degree stroke, and 90-second timing at 60 Hz. The controller employs removable terminal blocks for all electrical connections simplifying its installation and replacement. Both the controller housing and actuator meet the UL Plenum rating.
The Spyder controller utilizes a high-speed 78 Kilobit Free Topology Transceiver for network communications, and can function both independently and in conjunction with the LonWorks bus network. It can manage up to 112 controllers per Q7751A,B router when set as a repeater.
The controller can be field-configured and programmed to control input and output functions with the NIAGARA Framework software, and incorporates user-defined network variables. The function block engine empowers the controller to perform a wide variety of HVAC applications.
Designed with a significant event notification system, a periodic update capability, and failure detect mechanism when network inputs are not detected within a set timeframe. The controller operates within a power range from 20 to 30 VAC and can withstand temperature conditions from 32 F to 122 F. It is UL/cUL listed under UL916, meets FCC Part 15, Subpart B, Class B (radiated emissions) requirements. It operates on the LonWorks communication network with 10 IO and FTT-10A LON ports.
As a member of the Spyder product family, it is programmable and stand-alone, specially designed for Fan Coils and Variable Air Volume automation, and allows easy DIN rail mounting.
