The Direct Spark Ignition Module is designed to facilitate precise control over the ignition sequence and gas control operation in direct spark ignition systems. With natural or LP gas inputs, it operates at a voltage of 24 VAC and a frequency of 60 Hz. The module supports a two-rod system and offers efficient ignition with its 4-second ignition trial time and minimum pre-purge duration of 30 seconds.

Enhancing the efficacy of the system, this module can independently control a separate 120 VAC spark generator that generates a high-voltage potential for the main burner ignition. This safety feature includes a lockout provision after one unsuccessful trial for ignition if the main burner fails to ignite, offering enhanced safety measures. However, this lockout condition can be conveniently reset using the thermostat.

The Direct Spark Ignition Module is compatible with any 24 VAC combination gas control designed specifically for direct spark applications, providing the rating is at 2.0A or less.
