It operates using a two-position, SPST configuration and suits two primary applications. Firstly, it is ideal for managing volume control dampers, whether mounted directly to the drive shaft or situated remotely using appropriate accessory hardware. Secondly, it smoothly handles quarter-turn rotary valves like ball or butterfly valves when mounted directly to the drive shaft as well.

Selected models also come with an additional provision of an attached cable. In terms of technical specifications, the actuator's power consumption is limited to a 24 VAC operating temperature that ranges from a cold-resistant -40 F up to 150 F (or -40 C to 65 C). The actuator is designed with a robust housing containing a self-centering shaft adapter, facilitating a seamless shaft coupling.

It maintains reliable electrical connections by accommodating field wiring 18 AWG to 14 AWG conductors, with the capacity to connect up to two 14 AWG conductors to screw terminals.
