Honeywell presents the Butterfly Valve, a 2-way, 5-inch valve system. Crafted with a flanged design, this system offers a Cv of 428 at a 60-degree stroke and 1376 at a 90-degree stroke. Constructed with a polyester-coated cast iron body, this valve is designed to withstand abrasive impacts, weather conditions, chemical interactions, and UV exposure. It incorporates a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat and a 416 stainless steel stem for enhanced durability.
The valve is adaptable, with sizes available from 2 to 20 inches, compatible with ANSI class 125/150 lug pipe connections. It is designed to support bi-directional flow and features an extended neck to accommodate 2 inches of pipe insulation. The system employs a nylon 11 coated, cast iron disk that enhances corrosion resistance, reduces friction, and allows for the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
The valve system further stands out due to its stainless steel valve stem with a close-tolerance internal double disk connection. This engineering eliminates points for corrosion access, thereby increasing longevity. Moreover, the system ensures bubble-tight seat leakage at rated cut-off.
In terms of technical specifics, the Butterfly Valve system is compatible with both hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions service options. It offers an equal percentage flow characteristic and functions efficiently within a temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C). This system is designed to handle a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi. As a result, the Honeywell Butterfly Valve system is a versatile, robust solution for varied industrial applications.
