Description

The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a robust, 2-way unit with a 5-inch diameter. Crafted with a polyester-coated cast iron body, this well-engineered valve ensures optimal flow control with a flow coefficient (Cv) of 428 at a 60-degree stroke. It's fitted with a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat and a 416 stainless steel stem, demonstrating superior durability.

The valve accommodates sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches in line with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections, facilitating seamless installation and integration. The unit's characteristic bi-directional flow capability and an extended neck accommodating up to 2 inches of pipe insulation further enhance its utility in a variety of industrial environments.

For added reliability, it features nylon 11-coated, cast iron disks that bolster corrosion resistance and promote the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes due to reduced friction. Additionally, the valve body is coated with a layer of polyester, providing substantial protection against extreme weather conditions, chemical exposure, ultraviolet rays, abrasion, and impact forces.

The valve's stem is constructed with high-quality stainless steel and features a precise double-D disk connection for enhanced corrosion resistance. It guarantees bubble-tight seat leakage at the rated close-off, ensuring efficient operation.

In terms of service applicability, it's designed to handle hot water and chilled water-glycol solution flows. It follows an equal percentage flow characteristic thus providing a predictable and efficient approach to flow control. Operating under temperatures ranging from -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 121°C) and with a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi, this valve is well-suited to withstand harsh and varied industrial conditions.
