The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a 2-way, 4-inch valve featuring a flanged, polyester-coated cast iron body that provides protection against weather, chemical, ultraviolet, and abrasion damages. Enhanced with a high Cv capacity, it has a Cv of 274 at a 60-degree stroke and 841 at a 90-degree stroke. Anchored by a 416 stainless steel stem, the valve integrates a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat that eliminates potential points for corrosion access. With a firm focus on flexibility and adaptability, this valve is available in sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches with the convenience of ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections.
Additional superior features of this valve include a bi-directional flow and an extended neck that accommodates 2 inches of pipe insulation. The cast iron disks bear a nylon 11 coating that not only enhances their corrosion resistance, but also minimises friction, thereby facilitating the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
An inherent part of the valve is its stainless steel stem which is designed with close-tolerance. This internal double-D disk connection does not allow any points for corrosion access. It also provides a bubble tight seat leakage at its rated close-off.
The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is ideally suited for service with hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. It features an equal percentage flow characteristic and is capable of operating at a temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C). Moreover, it is equipped to handle a close off pressure of up to 175 psi.
